Is HiFi’s new across-the-street neighbor going to be a 7-Eleven?

EV Grieve is reporting that the space at 170 Avenue A that most recently was the home of “Bar On A” is being converted into a 7-Eleven store.  This would be the first national chain store to open on  Avenue A.  And while that is sad, the really unfortunate part of this is how the Mayor’s New Health Department regulations regarding limits on sizes of sugary drinks will NOT apply to 7-Eleven, but will apply to another business on the same block (Tompkins Square Bagels)
